Role Purpose
You will be our “hunter” on the ground in Cork: driving new logo acquisition, identifying and closing new business opportunities, and expanding Unitec’s footprint in the region. You’ll work closely with the inside sales team, sales operations, marketing, and field-based account managers to generate quality pipeline and hit revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
· Prospect new customers in Cork and surrounding area – cold outreach (calls, email, networking), leveraging marketing leads, strategic partnerships.
· Qualify leads and manage full sales cycle from lead → opportunity → close.
· Build a strong territory plan: mapping targets, accounts, and buying stakeholders.
· Maintain accurate records in CRM; manage pipeline forecasting.
· Collaborate with Marketing & Inside Sales for campaigns, content, and tradeshow/digital lead follow ups.
· Meet/exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
· Report on market feedback, competitive landscape, and trends.
What You’ll Bring (Ideal Experience & Skills)
· Proven experience in a new business sales or hunter role in IT/technology/MSSP/MSP.
· Comfortable with outbound prospecting – cold calling, setting meetings, qualifying.
· Solid commercial awareness, with ability to build value-based pitches (not just price).
· Strong communication & presentation skills; confident in talking to C-level / decision makers.
· Self-motivated, resilient, goal oriented.
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud services, cybersecurity products is a plus.
· Experience using sales tools / CRM (e.g. ConnectWise, HubSpot, Salesforce etc.).
Key Metrics / KPIs
· New logo revenue – monthly & quarterly targets.
· Pipeline coverage vs. quota (e.g. lead → opportunity conversion).
· Number of meetings / discovery calls per month.
· Average deal size & sales cycle length.
· Win rate (% of opportunities closed).
