Cyber Security Grants

“Empowering Irish Businesses to Become the Frontline of Cyber Defence”

In an increasingly digital global marketplace, Irish companies—especially those exporting internationally—must be secure, competitive, and technologically advanced. Cyber security is no longer just a technical concern; it’s a core business priority. It protects your organisation and customers, enhances trust, and serves as a unique value proposition when competing globally.

To strengthen Ireland’s digital resilience, Enterprise Ireland (EI) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have launched two new grant schemes designed to help Irish businesses assess, improve, and maintain strong cyber security foundations.

Overview of the New Cyber Security Grants

1. Stage 1 – Enterprise Ireland Cyber Review Grant
The Cyber Review Grant helps companies identify potential vulnerabilities and develop a clear, practical plan to strengthen their defences.

  • Purpose: To assess your organisation’s current cybersecurity posture and create a detailed remediation plan.
  • Funding: Project costs up to €3,000, with 80% funding support from Enterprise Ireland.
  • Outcome: A comprehensive cybersecurity assessment and a prioritized action plan to guide improvements.

2. Stage 2 – NCSC Cyber Improvement Grant
Once the assessment is complete, companies can move to implementation through the Cyber Improvement Grant, administered by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

  • Purpose: To execute the key recommendations outlined in the Stage 1 remediation plan.
  • Funding:
    • Minimum project cost: €25,000
    • Maximum grant: €60,000, or 80% of eligible project costs, whichever is lower.
  • Outcome: Enhanced cybersecurity resilience, systems implementation, and a measurable improvement in protection against digital threats.
