Unitec is currently experiencing significant growth and has several openings for Field Service Engineers in the South East Area, covering Waterford, Tipperary, and Kilkenny.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills, backed by a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience. Additionally, effective communication is crucial, as this role involves interacting with clients and working well under pressure.

Key qualifications for this position include promptness, excellent communication skills, and a clean driving license. As a field-based role, it will require travel to various client sites

  • Responsibilities:
    • Diagnose and resolve PC-related issues
    • Configure and troubleshoot PC and laptop applications and hardware
    • Coordinate warranty repairs with hardware vendors
    • Deploy and install workstation hardware and software on-site
    • Manage workstation asset recovery and maintenance
    • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests in a fast-paced environment
    • Maintain daily ticket updates
    • Provide support for meeting room setups and video conferencing
    • Assist with printers, scanners, and other peripherals
    • Support mobile devices and Apple MAC devices
    • Backup and restore end-user data as needed
    • Continuously learn and share new skills through research and training

    Credentials and Experience:

    • Technical certifications such as CompTIA A+ (901, 902), CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, or Cisco
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Windows system administration
    • 2+ years of network/server experience with technical support and troubleshooting skills
    • Proficiency in server and client operating system/software management
    • Familiarity with PC, printer, and server hardware
    • Experience with Fortinet firewalls
    • Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments, network services, security, and administration
    • Understanding of wireless technologies
